How does cosmetic bonding work?

The dentist will use composite resin and a bonding material to cover gaps, cracks, chips, or stains. Your dentist may need to remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth to help the resin bond, but this is not always necessary.

The final step is to cure the bonding material with a special light, before polishing the resin for a smooth, cosmetically pleasing finish.

How should I look after my teeth after cosmetic bonding?

Avoiding liquids like tea, coffee, and red wine and chewing on very hard or sticky food can help keep your bonding remain bright and intact.

Regular brushing, flossing, and visits to the dentist can also help increase the longevity of the bond by maintaining your oral health.
